“Condolences and Prayer
for the Christians Slain in Syria”

The Universal Christian Church of the New Jerusalem gathers in solemn prayer entrusting to God the Almighty Father, the soul of a young man killed in an attack carried out by Islamic extremists on 31 January in Muhradah, Syria.

The young man, Eliah Simon Tekla, only 21 years old, was murdered inside his car by armed men who targeted him solely for the presence of a Holy Rosary on his windscreen.

In condemning yet another murder of Christians in Syria – where at least 70 innocent people have recently been killed and hundreds more kidnapped because of their faith – the Church, acknowledging the silence and inaction of civil, military and governmental Institutions, raises her prayer to God the Almighty Father asking Him to grant Justice to the righteous.
