Homily of the Pontiff Samuel
Solemn Feast of Corpus Christi
Eat and drink of Love,
which here makes the hypostatic union manifest
“Take it, this is my body, […] this is my blood” (Mk 14:22–24).
Here is Feast of Corpus Christi; Here is the month dedicated to Jesus’ Most Sacred Heart, in a holy union of Heart, Soul and Spirit.
God is Love (1 Jn 4:8, 16), Father Creator: the Love who, in the Son, takes on flesh; Jesus, Part of the Father’s Heart, Love made flesh (Jn 1:14). Here is the God-Man.
In Jesus there are two Natures, fused into one: human Nature and divine Nature; Divinity and Humanity. Here is the Hypostatic Union of the divine and human Nature in the Person – Hypostasis – of Jesus Christ (Revelation of Jesus to Maria G. Norcia, “The Eternal Privileged Altar for the Hypostatic Union”, 30/06/1985). Thus, in Christ, two distinct Natures – Divine and Human – fully coexist in a single Person, without confusion, change, division, or separation. The Father’s Essence is in the Son; it is the Son who makes His Substance manifest by becoming Man (Jn 14:9).
This is what we heard in the Gospel: “Jesus took the bread, and having given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘Take it, this is my body, […] this is my blood’” (Mk 14:22–24). “Body”: therefore, Heart; that Heart, contained within the Body, which is Love. A Heart united to the Soul, which lies beneath the Heart, and which, through the Spirit, gives Life to the Body.
It is an invitation that Jesus extends to us: “Take”; not an obligation. Jesus breaks Himself, breaks Love, so that many may eat of this Love. Bread: Love. How does one eat Love? With the heart, through the Holy Spirit. Behold the Communion returning to its Essence. “The flesh is of no avail; it is the Spirit that gives life” (Jn 6:63). To receive Communion with Him who is Love made Person, one must eat “with the heart”, even before eating with the mouth. And the heart, in order to partake of Him who is Love, must be pure, holy and truthful. For if the heart is not pure, not holy and not truthful, it cannot partake of the pure, holy and truthful Love, of the pure, holy and truthful Heart, which is Jesus, Love made Person (1 Cor 11:27-29).
Here is the consecration prayer that the Mother Church says in unison, invoking the Holy Spirit, praying to the Father that those hearts may be made pure, holy and truthful through the Fire of the Spirit (Revelation of Jesus to Maria G. Norcia, “The Holy Spirit”, 13/09/1984), so that they may take part, so that they may eat of the Body, and thus of the Heart, the centre of the Body. Here is the Man-God. And so it is for the sons: the creatures who, believing in the Son, wish, in turn, to become “sons” (Jn 1:12). And in the sons, too, there are two components: the material part: the body; and the spiritual part: the soul and the spirit. In order to live, one must nourish the body with water and food, and one must nourish the spiritual part: the soul and the spirit. How does one nourish the spiritual part? Through prayer to God and through Love. And the circle is complete: love for God and love for one’s neighbour (Mt 22:37–39). Here is prayer, pure love for the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; and here is the Love that must flow among the sons, and thus ‘brothers’. In doing so, the sons will already have set out on the path to ascend into the pure Heart, which is Love.
The Son of God has come down here to lift His sons up and enable them to abide in the Love that is Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Revelation of Jesus to Maria G. Norcia, “The Holy Place of Jesus’ Return”, 19/02/1995). Here is the Communion of heart, soul and spirit with the Son of God; a Communion that is essentially spiritual (Act of the Magisterium, “Communion in the One Faith: Christ”, 11/05/2025). Jesus then broke the bread, became Bread, is Bread, to give a concrete sign to those men, who were imbued with matter, and He gave them that sign so they could understand the Spirit. Now everything must be fulfilled in the Spirit. For this reason, here, Jesus gave the final Sign, giving Himself, descending by Himself, pure Spirit, in order to bring everything back to the Spirit (Revelation of Jesus to Maria G. Norcia, “The Return of Jesus”, 30/10/1994).
Whoever wishes to act and be in communion with Christ must become like Mary, She who, ascending into the Heart of the Son, became, through the work of the Holy Spirit, pure Spirit; for God dwells in Mary, for Mary is the Temple, the Tabernacle of the Holy Spirit (Revelation of God the Father to Maria G. Norcia, “Mary the Immaculate dwells in Us”, 28 June 1983).
The union of hearts – and thus of the “sons” – is what constitutes the Mystical Body, the Church, where Christ is the Heart, the Soul – Heart and Soul –; the sons are the members. If the members keep their heart pure, holy and truthful, they will remain in communion with the Heart, with the Soul of the Body, which is Christ. The moment sin severs this bond, one is no longer in communion with the Heart, with the Soul which is Christ. This is why it is written in the Gospel: “The axe is already laid at the root of the tree” (Mt 3:10). This was said when the first Covenant was broken, because that Body, the Church, in those members, had become detached from the Soul, from the Heart, and thus it was severed. And the same has happened now. The severing has already taken place (Act of the Magisterium, “The True Church”, 08/05/2025). The manifestation of this severing will become even more evident. Look with the eyes of light upon what will happen faster and faster, for this severing, which has already taken place, will be made manifest. This is why Jesus, in today’s Gospel, says: “I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until I drink it anew in the kingdom” (Mk 14:25).
Here we are, dear brothers and sisters, in the Kingdom where the Son of God has returned to drink the new fruit of the Vine, the Third Covenant, which has once again been sealed by the Holy Spirit of Love, who gives Himself, pours Himself out – behold the poured out Blood –, for the Lamb sacrifices Himself, gives Himself so that many may have Life and have it for Eternity (Jn 10:10). Here are the words we have heard, which have been fulfilled.
Here is this Church, which must become more and more united to make manifest the one Body that gives Life: all the members united; a Body that moves together, united, compact, holy: the Body of Christ, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Behold the Church, re-founded by the Holy Spirit of Love in the image and likeness of Mary: the All-Beautiful, the All-Pure, living Temple of the Holy Spirit; One, Holy and Universal, which makes its very foundation out of the virtues of Obedience, Will and Faithfulness (Revelation of Jesus to Maria G. Norcia, “Mary, I consecrate myself to You”, 10/03/1986).
Behold the song of the sons of God, who have gathered on this Mount, the Mount of Olives, symbol of Peace, fulfilment of the Mystery of Peace and Love (Revelation of the Most Holy Mary to Maria G. Norcia, “The Divine Family and the Golden Ladder”, 25/12/1988), where the two Olive Trees, described in the Book of Revelation, bear witness, united with the Son (Rev 11:3-4), to the Wedding of the Lamb, for the Bride is ready (Rev 19:7), Babylon is falling – has fallen (Rev 18:2) – and the Wedding is taking place; and the sons are singing (Rev 19:9).
Let us sing, dear brothers and sisters, for we are on the Mountain which the Father has given us, so that we may sing and celebrate (Revelation of Jesus to Maria G. Norcia, “The Dwelling Place Established by Jesus”, 09/03/1997), just as we shall celebrate a great feast in these days leading up to the Feast of Baby Jesus, to the Feast of Jesus’ Most Sacred Heart (Pontifical Decree, “Solemn Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus”, 19/06/2022), in a total union of Heart, Soul and Spirit.
Rejoice, for great is and will be the Feast. Here are the sons who wish to sing hymns (Ps 9:12; 46:7) to Jesus and Mary, thanking the Father for everything that has been given to us from His Heart: Love, Love, nothing but Love, the Only-Begotten Love that is Christ and Mary. And so be it.
