In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Beloved brothers and sisters, this is the holy day on which Jesus founded His Church. A solemn and holy day that we celebrate today, as Church, the Church wanted by the Father to bring everything to fulfilment.

Today is the solemn and holy day on which Jesus instituted the Eucharist, giving Himself entirely – body and soul – to those who, acknowledging Him as the Son of the living God, desire to partake of His Table and to be nourished and quenched by His Love, by the Only-Begotten Love that is Person. Here is the Body of Christ that becomes flesh by Love and comes to Life. Here is the Body of Christ that feeds His sons in Spirit and Life, to increase their love, their holiness and brotherhood, that brotherhood that is now at the centre of our personal and ecclesial journey. Communion and Brotherhood: this is the Holy Thursday that the Master gives us as His Testament of love, which He gave to those first brothers and which is now renewed to be placed once again at the centre of our lives.

The world has lost the Christian brotherhood and is in the grip of endless hatred and selfishness. Behold the war and the lack of love for Jesus and for their neighbour that has prevailed in so many hearts.

The brothers and sisters of the New Jerusalem must have different feelings from those who live in the world. There cannot be room for envy, jealousy, rivalry or resentment. Either we are of Christ or we are of the world. No one can be halfway, for the lukewarm will be vomited out of the mouth of God.

“I belong to Christ”; “I belong to Mary”. These are the words that must flood out from the hearts of the new Christians to ward off all temptations and preserve the white, candid garment of the saints of God, as the one received on the day of Baptism and renewed on the day of rebirth from Above, in the Spirit who lives and is present in the New Jerusalem.

Here are the authentic Christians, who love Christ and love Mary more than their own lives. Here are those who want to die daily to the world and to sin in order to live their new life in Christ already from now, to live the Kingdom established by Jesus in this Land of Love, this very day.

The moment Jesus washed the feet of His Apostles, He founded His Church. Although He was the first, Christ made Himself the servant of His Friends, of those who acknowledged Him as Lord and Master. This is the example we must embody. This is the brotherhood that conquers selfishness. This is the Love that conquers unlove and therefore death. This is the Peace that conquers war. This is the Sincerity that conquers falsehood. This is the Joy that conquers melancholy and the dark anguish of living. Only in this way can we share in the Table of the Lord, the Banquet of Love, the Eucharist, the Love that is Person, is Life.

All are called to partake of this Banquet. Only those who, out of pride and arrogance, will voluntarily refuse Love, will not be able to partake of it. This is what has been done by him and those who have betrayed the Master.

Be holy, sons of God, to live in fullness this Holy Day, on which the Lord calls us to eat and partake of His only-begotten Love.

Come you all, take and eat. Come you all, take and drink. This is His Love, offered for our Salvation, who took flesh in a body and now gives Himself anew. Don’t refuse this offering of the Son of God. Don’t reject the offer of He who makes Himself a beggar of Love for the salvation of all. His Mercy is infinite. His merciful justice is eternal and will judge the children and the stepchildren: the children, are those who have followed Him, leaving behind all that is worldly; the stepchildren are those who have betrayed Him, disowning His Spirit.

Let us remain united in brotherhood and lively prayer, together with Mary, our good and tender Mother, She who – in union with Her Handmaidens – was united at that time with the Master – in the communion of heart, soul and spirit, just as She is now  – in union with Her Handmaidens –  united with the Lord, in the communion of heart, soul and spirit, that communion which conquers every death and makes Life, eternal Life, triumph!
