Dear brothers, dear sisters, in our Church the month of March is the month of devotion to St. Joseph. And with a Pontifical decree I established that St. Joseph is venerated not only as the Guardian of the Holy Family and Patron Saint of the Universal Church but also as the Guardian of the Little Cradle of Baby Jesus, Guardian of Christianity and Patron Saint of every family.

To you all I say: love Saint Joseph, pray to Saint Joseph, imitate His virtues, so that on His example and with His help, every God’s son who loves Baby Jesus, every God’s son who loves Mary Most Holy, may draw inspiration from Saint Joseph as the living and holy example to be imitated in its fullness. We entrust ourselves to Saint Joseph, so that Saint Joseph may protect every family, in its being domestic church, and also the Universal Church, by overcoming the lack of love and adultery, overcoming apostasy and indifference.

For this reason, may the holy love reign in every family, between husband and wife, and may harmony reign between father and mother, between parents and children. And also in the Universal Church, may reign the love for Jesus which overcomes every indifference, every temptation to apostatize from the true Faith, searching for useless religions or religious philosophies, those not in communion with the Father’s Heart and not expression of the Father’s will.

The Father sent His Son, His Only Begotten Son, so that the whole world could worship Him through His Only Begotten Son. This is the Father’s will and this is what each one of us must put at the centre of our daily life.

Let us entrust ourselves to Saint Joseph, let us entrust ourselves by praying to him with true love, with true prayer, so that by means of His intercession we may obtain every grace, to win and triumph.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
