The underworld will not prevail
in the hearts of the saints

Solemn Feast of the Constitution of the Church

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Beloved brothers, great is the joy we experience today on this solemn anniversary of the earthly constitution of this Mother Church, willed by the Father to restore the New Covenant with Christianity. Christ is the core of the Church’s mission: all together we must bring Christ, his teachings and his doctrine back to the centre of everyone’s life, day after day, so that Christ may, already from now, win and reign in all hearts, in the expectation of the manifestation of his victory and his kingship all over the Earth.
Here is the meaning of God’s daily calling upon us: to belong totally to Christ; to allow Christ to take possession of our hearts and to guide our steps along the Path of Peace and Love, of prayer and brotherhood.
Here is that Jesus renews to us today the Call to be holy limbs of this Mystical Body. Here is the Call to be perfect, at least in our will and our daily effort in wanting to be so, in order to be perfect as the Holy Father in Heaven is perfect. Here is the living example of Mary, the human creature raised to the highest glory of God because of her human perfection that She sought and pursued every day with love, in love and for love of her Jesus and of the brothers and children entrusted to Her Heart. In Mary’s Heart the underworld has not been able to prevail, for Mary remained obedient, pure and humble.
The same must be for all the limbs of the Mystical Body: to remain pure, holy and humble so as to not allow the enemy to prevail. If the limbs of the Body remain holy, the Body will remain incorruptible and the enemy of God will not be able to do anything. The soul of the Body is Christ, his Spirit, who animates and gives life to the Body. The enemy of God has no power over Christ. If the limbs stay united to Christ, they will know how to remain holy, uncorrupted and incorruptible, and the enemy of God will have no power even over the individual limbs. Otherwise, the diseased limbs will be severed, lest the entire Body turn into gangrene, as has happened elsewhere, where the Holy Spirit has abandoned that body, which is now destined to disintegrate and decay into putrefaction.
The underworld will not prevail over this House. This is the certainty we all must have. But each one of us must be the guardian of our own heart, so that the underworld cannot prevail not even over a single heart. And this is the responsibility to which everyone is called to. Now more than ever.
Let us entrust ourselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our good and tender Mother, and we shall lack nothing. Let us entrust ourselves to the prayers and love of our brothers so to overcome every trial and every temptation, so that our hearts may be a little Cradle for Jesus in which to rest and dwell, just as Maria Giuseppina did, she who is our Mother in faith and the foundation and lifeblood of this Church, which lived and lives to make her known and loved, so that Christ may be welcomed into all hearts as the Good and Holy King.
Like the branches, let us remain grafted into the one Vine that gives true Life, for the splendour of Christianity, renewed and redeemed by the Son of God, who has come down once again, here, not to succumb but to win and triumph together with his sons for eternity. And so be it.
