In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Dear Brothers, on this day the Mass is alive, continuous and throbbing. During the celebration of the Holy Rosary, we unite ourselves to the heart, to the soul and to the Spirit of Maria Giuseppina Norcia, on this Solemn Feast dedicated to her birth. This Maiden of God let herself become the living Cradle of God’s Love, by having welcomed Jesus, the Love made Person, into her pure and holy heart. Jesus, who descended as a Child, has accompanied the growing‑up of this Maiden, who increasingly became adult and conscious in faith, so that Her Jesus could grow anew in the hearts of those many called to be re-born to new life from Above, in the Spirit who is Christ the Lord, who descended into this Little Cradle to lead all His sons and all the men and women of good will to salvation.

Here is the mission of this Maiden, born and called by the Father’s will to bring His Plan of Redemption for humanity to completion. Here is the close relationship that has always been between the Father and this Maiden. Here is the gaze that the Father, in His omniscience and all-seeing eye, has laid upon this Maiden, establishing a bond of Love in Christ, with Christ and for Christ with Her Heart, since She was to welcome into Her Heart the Son of God, the Child Jesus, the Light descended once again from Heaven to brighten the darkness that surrounds this barren and bewildered humanity that has closed its eyes towards the Light and the heart towards Love.

The 21 of January therefore marks the day of the rebirth of Christian hope, which has been turned into certainty by means of the ‘yes’ of this Maiden. Thanks to this Maiden, the Father could once again send a part of His Heart to the rescue of this humanity, so that Christ the Love could overcome the lack of love and the selfishness that reign supreme in so many hearts, to thus defeat the apostasy that would have in the meantime prevailed in the hearts of many.

Thanks to this Maiden, many have been able to rediscover Jesus as the one primary Good, as the one and only true reason for which to live and love, to suffer and offer, and thus finally to come together to victory, in Christ and Mary.

Mary has always been the example of life for the Maiden of God, who has lived to imitate and embody Her virtues in perfection.

This is Maria Giuseppina. This is the solemn day of her birth, which the Mother Church celebrates with solemnity, in the living and total union between Heaven and Earth, in the living union with Her Heart as spiritual Mother, who unceasingly accompanies us Her sons every day, co‑participating in the daily life of each one of us.

All together, united in the only-begotten Spirit who issues from the Father and from the Son, let us renew today the act of filial entrustment to Her Heart, so that She may intercede from Heaven with the Father and with the Son, Jesus, for the health of our bodies and our souls; so that the Father, hearing Her and our heartfelt prayer, may grant us every victory, in Christ and Mary. And so be it.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
